Social psychologist Alain Samson observed for Henley that “he words are also particularly positive, reassuring, in a period of uncertainty, anxiety, even perhaps of cynicism.” The poster skyrocketed in popularity after the 2008 recession, explained Foreign Affairs Correspondent Jon Henley in 2009 for The Guardian. Patrons fell in love with it, and the booksellers printed tens of thousands of copies over the decade. His wife and co-owner, Mary, framed and displayed the poster. The Keep Calm and Carry On poster languished in number and obscurity until Stuart Manley discovered a copy in 2000 tucked away in a box of old books for his bookshop, Barter Books, in Alnwick, England. It never did display the posters, and most were recycled in 1940 during a wartime paper shortage. The British government printed nearly 2.5 million copies, reserving them to boost morale in case of a particularly bad German bombing. The other two posters featured equally comforting slogans: Your Courage, Your Cheerfulness, Your Resolution Will Bring Us Victory and Freedom is in Peril Defend it with all Your Might. Who, exactly, coined the slogan is unclear. The third, and now iconic, poster flashed Keep Calm and Carry On in white, capital letters underneath an image of a crown on a bright, grabbingly red background. 11/21/2023 0 Comments Bordertool 2 weapon parts listIf spawned with the "Gentleman's" prefix and with slag element, the weapon will not list the additional 120% critical hit damage granted by the prefix, although it will still be applied. As they are not listed on the item card, each additional projectile will receive full amp damage. If the bullet ricochets to an enemy due to Gaige's Close Enough skill, the extra pellets will spawn from striking the enemy, not the original contact point. If used by a Gunzerker as the off-hand gun while Gunzerking, the extra pellets take the damage and elemental type of the main-hand gun.Additionally, if the main-hand gun has no bullets left in the magazine, the pellets will receive the damage scaling of Money Shot. This damage scaling works even if the main-hand weapon cannot trigger the damage bonus of money shot. This makes the Pimpernel absurdly powerful when paired with a Rocket Launcher such as Nukem or even Norfleet, and even more so when they are empty, by delivering massive DPS to targets in a quick session. The pellets will not inflict damage on the user whatsoever. The bomblets are affected by Zer0's Vel0city and Maya's Accelerate, which will alter their deployment. In particular, this can make it more difficult to score multiple critical hits. A Pimpernel shot can proc B0re, allowing for even greater damage output with even a single hitbox present on a single enemy.B0re, Chain Reaction, and The Nth Degree will proc a new bullet and the second impact will apply again for each time these skills proc.A slag Pimpernel with a matching Maliwan grip has a slag chance of 64.8% and since each pellet has a splash effect, the gun has 12 chances all at 64.8% for a total of a 99.9996% chance of applying slag from a single shot.Additionally, since the pellets arc outwards and can hit a second time, they can slag other enemies near the first one and each of those hits will have 2 chances at 64.8% chance to be slagged. With Flicker, the slag chance can be over 100%. In addition to the name referencing Captain Scarlett, the Pimpernel's barrel also bears her logo. There is no indication given as to why C3n50r807 possesses the Pimpernel. 11/21/2023 0 Comments Matlab interp1 anonymous functionAs such, bandwidth is critical for any engineer or scientist that wants to measure and characterize high frequency electronic signals. It also makes it possible to detect and measure faster pulses and signal edge speeds. More bandwidth means less signal attenuation at higher frequencies. Oliver Rovini, Chief Technical Officer, said “At 4.7 GHz, these new digitizer cards offer our highest bandwidth capability to date. These include Window, Re-Arm, Delay and Software triggers, as well as the ability to use the cards inputs (channel, trigger and digital lines) to set up specific trigger conditions based on Boolean logic. Conventional edge triggering, which includes trigger time stamping, is enhanced by a number of sophisticated trigger modes that help with the capture of the most elusive events. Multiple-waveform recording allows the capture of numerous events, even at very high trigger rates. In fact, if I was trying to use my straightline function with some other code that required lines to be defined by slope and intercept first, and then the abscissa, I can easily create a new interface for the line.Acquisitions can be made in both single-shot or multiple-waveform recording modes. I could also use it to create a function of just slope and intercept, suitable for create line segments for different parameters at a later time. In the first case, I turned my function of 3 variables into a function of one variable, with preset parameters. Using the same original function definition for straightline, I am able to mold the function for different purposes. Newline2 = straightline(X, slp(2), intcpt(2)) Īnonymous Functions Allow Interface Flexibility Newline1 = straightline(X, slp(1), intcpt(1)) I can even get the values put into a slopeIntercept = straightline(data, slope, intercept) In that case, with data supplied, I can derive such a function from straightline. Perhaps I instead want a function of the slope and intercept only. Now compare estimates for slope and intercept to original values. Now I want slope and intercept to be my independent variables. m = 2 ĭata = straightline(t,m,b) + 0.2*randn(size(t)) And we would like to estimate the slope and intercept values. Now suppose we have data, based on this line segment, that has some noise. myarea = integral(myline, lowerlimit, upperlimit) Use this new function, myline, as the integrand. lowerlimit = 2 Ĭreate a function representing my particular line segment, by fixing those slope and intercept values, and creating a new function from the original one. Since the function integral requires the integrand to be a function of one variable only, we can use the anonymous function myline, defined below, to create just such a representation. Now let's find the area under a segment of this line, between two points. Now I can evaluate my function when I create the plot. I start by defining the slope and intercept values. straightline = slope*X + interceptįirst let's choose a particular straight line segment. Here's a very general way I can write the code meant to generate points on a straight line.

Its command string accommodates the use of an integer argument to specify the number of password phrase outcomes you wish to generate. Using makepasswd is simple and even more flexible than the apg approach. $ sudo apt install makepasswd $ sudo pacman -S makepasswd $ sudo yum install makepasswdĪs you have noticed, you will also need to be a Sudoer user to be granted the execution permissions of installing this package. For the Debian-based, Arch-based, and RPM-based Linux systems, respectively, the makepasswd installation command is straightforward. You first need to install it to use this utility since it is not inbuilt like most of the approaches we have covered. It is a unique approach to generating many passwords at once without the need for running a single command over and over again to get the desired number of password phrases. You can choose to go with either of the generated phrases, or you can use them all in your various password requirements. $ apg -a 1Īs you can see, the output has unraveled six unique options. Time to be more practical with this apg password-generation approach. The varying output options will have a length of 8-10 unique random characters. Generating these random password phrase options is as easy as running the command string apg -a 1. From these options, you will select a phrase that best works for you as a password. It takes a random input and generates a variance of password phrase options. Using this utility is easy, and its approach is different from the other password-generation mechanisms we have handled so far. This tool is prepackaged with the OS or installed during the OS installation on an Ubuntu Linux system. APG is another effective tool for automating the generation of unique password phrases on a Linux environment. 11/21/2023 0 Comments Before your eyes on macUnusually, you make choices and interact with the game by blinking your eyes (seen by your webcam or smartphone camera) rather than pressing a button.
